Happy Valentine's Day

Lucie got some new shades from her Nanie (thank you, Aunt Mary!) the other day.  She's happy about them!  And she's getting bigger everyday -- she now loves to play in the exersaucer.  We have officially moved her to her new room upstairs.  So far she's not thrilled, but we're working on it.  She's still so tiny she sleeps in the bassinet inside the crib.  How do I have a tiny child?  I know for sure she's mine -- I was there and definitely remember the event.  I guess we have a variety of genes -- she is tall, though, so I can claim that.

We went to Peter's parents' house the other night for some delicious cake.  This photo is of John after dancing his heart out with his Meme.  He loves to dance!  And he's very insistent on you dancing with him.  You can see by the rosy cheeks that he got a good workout!

In other news, I've been sewing like crazy!  My own mom sews wonderfully.  Why didn't I let her teach me when I lived at home??  I guess I was a stubborn teenager.  But I'm hoping her skills rub off on me.  Here is one of my first bags I made from using a grocery bag as a pattern.  I've sewn lots since this -- I'm a bit out of control!  I'll post more photos as I take them.  Any suggestions of fun stuff to sew -- send them my way!
