It's My Party

Lucie is 1!  We decided her birthday theme song was, "It's My Party and I'll Cry if I Want To!"  She was a little grumpy all day, but we had a great day with her anyway.


At the beginning of the week, I let the kids open one of Lucie's presents.  Peter jokes about how in my family, we celebrate all week long!  They opened her toy microwave, and John was quick to "show" Lucie how everything works.  He's been in charge of it ever since...

Nanie (my sweet Aunt Mary) is here visiting, and the kids have been in heaven!!  She brought lots of new toys for the kids.

Lucie knew just what her birthday cupcakes were right away and wanted them immediately!  John has also been so excited we've sung happy birthday to him at least a dozen times.  It has been a great birthday week and we've loved having Nanie here.  Thank you everyone!
