What a fun trip we had down in Texas last week!
The highlight might have been taking the train up to Dallas to go to the State Fair of Texas. Wow! As you might imagine, it is huge! We went on a rainy day, so it wasn't too crowded. We had such a great time.

The highlight might have been taking the train up to Dallas to go to the State Fair of Texas. Wow! As you might imagine, it is huge! We went on a rainy day, so it wasn't too crowded. We had such a great time.
John rode his first roller coaster -- The Worm.
We tasted fried ribs, fried Oreos, fried Jalapenos dipped in chocolate, fried green tomatoes... And Peter had his first funnel cake!
We also made it up to the Children's Science Museum, which the kids loved.
(That was a huge milestone for me. That place was crawling with germs and I still had a great time!)
My dad will be moving near Boston this week, so we got to see him before he's no longer a Texan. We are excited for his new adventures! John gets so excited to see his Grandpa.
We had such a great time enjoying my mom. The kids played outside with her forever, and got to have chocolate ice cream cones. John woke up this morning asking if we were going to get on an airplane to go to Texas today. We look forward to our next trip!
This was my brother's motorcycle when he was little. John took one look at it and his eyes got really big and he kept saying hopefully, "Is that for John?"
Grandbobbie and Lucie had matching blue crocs.
What a FUN trip! I loved seeing all your cute pictures. And you made me laugh.... the whole germ thing at the museum! Good job Sarah, I am oh so proud!
Such great pictures. It is so fun to see you your kids having such a FABULOUS time. LOVE Lucie and your mom's matching shoes! Great to see pictures of your mother! I hope you all are doing well! LOTS of LOVE and SMILES from the Bay! XOXOXO
FIRST FUNNEL CAKE? Was Peter living under a rock as a child =) Sounds like an amazing trip. Next stop on that train should be the bay area!!
SO fun! I am glad that you were able to visit your family and that you had such a great time. Those kids are growing up fast.
A fair? Sarah, I'm impressed. I bet there were a lot of germs. We have kids getting the swine flu here and I touch very few things.
